PEAHTREE QUANTUM EDITION 2007

I would like to open discussion regards the new Quantum version of Peachtree. We have been a user of Peachtree for several years and have begun to experience numerous annoying problems in the use of this product. It is very memory intensive and with memory upgrades to 2.0 gig of ram and a new server we still are having problems that we never experienced with prior versions.

We are also having unusual problems with payroll patches trying to repeat an install every time the program is closed. I experience very long wait times up to 45 minutes, and every time we have called in on the premier hot line. The help desk people can usually come up with a fix, but it seems to have a lot of "beta" type problems, for a new product.

What about your experiences, and thoughts?

How have you been able to make it more reliable?

Have you had Pervasive database errors?

I believe this is the first Peachtree version released by Sage software. Its a major overall/upgrade to handle larger data sets. I don't currently have any clients using this version of Peachtree. Sage is a good company (I do have several clients using the MAS line and they have been happy with the received support). Sage does have a history of "issues" with major upgrades. I use the Act! contact manager and when Sage did a major overall of Act! a few years back, it had all kinds of problems. But they were all corrected with updates and patches.
