WHAT IS IN OUR WIKI FOR ME, AND WHY SHOULD I CONTRIBUTE?

When is the last time you received something without having to make an investment however distant in the past it may have been? Does not most networking and rainmaking take an investment of time and, most times, money? But where else than our wiki can you reach so many others without the outlay of cash from your pocket? Furthermore, you have the opportunity to obtain, via most likely corporate representatives, referrals and clients through our wiki.

How many of us have spent time researching and writing with the hope of being published only to not get our work published or not reach the audience we thought we were seeking? With our wiki, you have the 100% opportunity to be published, and finally have those resume references, while also being seen. In addition, a contribution does not mean you have “given away the store.” Just look at the many websites of legal and accounting professionals which provide teaser or throw-away information leading to clients.

As our profession is one demanding regular education and learning, the scholarly give-and-take takes on a life of its own gaining us immediate up-to-date knowledge held by other professionals observing our wiki and allowing us to build camaraderie within, a many times, solitary profession.

If you are still not convinced, just take a small chance, invest a small amount of time and make a contribution. We believe that this site can be a great benefit to everyone in the tax community, but only if people like you help to create an active, vibrant community. It's going to take a few brave souls to jump in and make an edit here, add a sentence there, and eventually flesh out some of the topic pages that currently exist. We really need you to edit, comment, and add your expertise. When you edit existing articles, or add new ones, you add something to the whole community. We believe that we all get smarter by working together.
