Peachtree is an accounting software product.
Peachtree Accounting is business management software published by Sage Software and sold primarily in the United States. There have been several generations of software sold under this name.
Peachtree Accounting was originally sold by Peachtree Software, a software publisher founded in 1975 by Jim Dunion with the first software published in 1976. Peachtree was acquired by the Sage Group in 2002 for US$145 million. Peachtree was the first business software introduced for microcomputers and the oldest microcomputer software program for business in current use, with the possible exception of the original Microsoft Basic interpreters also introduced in 1975.
Peachtree Accounting 2006 is a powerful accounting software program for small to medium-sized businesses. Peachtree will work best if you have some basic understanding of double-entry accounting.

- The various input screens, such as for billing, invoicing, and payroll, are very straightforward and easy to use.
- All versions of Peachtree Accounting 2006 can integrate with Act! Contact Manager Software. Perhaps the best reason to use Peachtree in the first place is if you are using Act! as your contact manager.

Negatives
- The Peachtree interface is not as intuitive as other packages like Quickbooks. The layout, navigation screen s, colors and other elements are plain and a bit stale.
