Key policies
You don't need to read every WikiCPA policy before you contribute. However, the following policies are particularly important, and the sooner you understand and use them, the better:
- WikiCPA is an open source free resource for All Things CPA. Material that does not fit this goal, after a community review, may be removed.
- Avoid bias. Articles should be written from a neutral point of view, representing all views on a subject, factually and objectively, in an order which is agreeable to a common consensus.
- Don't infringe copyrights. WikiCPA is a free resource licensed under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License. Submitting work which infringes upon any copyrights' threatens our objective to build a truly free resource that anyone can redistribute, and could lead to legal problems. - Respect other contributors. WikiCPA contributors come from many different countries and cultures, and have widely different views. Treating others with respect is key to collaborating effectively in building this resource.
Assigning a Category to your article
A category is a list page which serves to aid browsing of related articles. Categories generally sketch topics rather than define them. Often—but not always—they do classify topics.
Please use the standard WikiCPA Categories that are listed below. Feel free to assign more than one Category if applicable. Important: the Category link formating should be the last item on your page.
Be sure to add the " [[ ]] " formating symbols to each end of the Category description to insure proper linking. For example, this page is linked to the Miscellaneous category. See the link as written on the bottom of this page.
